Celtic’s Jeremie Frimpong considering change in style of play

Celtic defender Jeremie Frimpong says he is changing the way he plays in an effort to avoid injuries on his part.

According to him, he is considering to avoid the kind of tackle that has forced him to miss his team’s last seven matches in the Scottish league.

The 19-year-old Dutchman is only now returning from the leg injury caused by midfielder Alan Power’s controversial challenge in a 3-1 victory against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on January 22.

“I knew Scottish football would be tough so you’ve got to be ready for it,” Frimpong said.

“I just didn’t expect it to come like that. If you’re on the pitch, you can’t be soft. You have to change your style of play. If you have to go in hard, you have to go in hard, but in the right way” he added.
