Ghana striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom was on target for Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday night to help beat Suduva 2-1 at home to steer his side into the next round of the UFA Champions League play-offs.
The player who has established himself as the leading marksman for the Serbian side popped up when they needed him most yesterday to open the scoring for them in the second leg of the preliminary round of UCL play-off with the Lithuanian club.
Yaidom latched onto a well-weighted through pass from attacker Ben Nabuhene before smashing his effort from a tight angle into the back of the net in style.
The player went on to assist the second goal of the game to give Red Star a two-goal cushion before the break.
He combined nicely with former Chelsea attacker Marko Marin on the 29th minute and he made no mistake but buried the ball into the back of the net.
Suduva pulled one back late in the second half courtesy a strike from Topcagic after Red Star had been reduced to 10-men after Gobeljic was sent off.
The match eventually ended 2-1 in favor of Red Star to see them advancing into the next round of the UEFA Champions League play-off.
