Welcome to the live text coverage of the quarter-final match between Niger and Ghana at the 2022 CAF Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament.

The Ghana team, nicknamed the Black Galaxies are seeking to secure a win to advance to the semi-finals of the ongoing tournament in Algeria.

Ahead of kick-off at 19:00GMT, Ghana head coach Annor Walker has named a strong starting eleven to start the match.

In today’s encounter, Danlad Ibrahim has been named as the Ghana goalkeeper. He will be working with a defensive back four that includes Solomon Adomako, Konadu Yiadom, Dennis Korsah, and Augustine Agyapong.

David Abagna is starting in midfield as the captain of the team tonight and will be working with Dominic Nsobila.

The attack is made up of Kofi Kordzi as the arrowhead. He will be supported from the flanks by Suraj Seidu and Jonah Attuquaye.
