CHAN 2023: Ghanaian referees Daniel Laryea and Kwesi Brobbey arrive in Algeria for tourney

Ghanaian match officials, Daniel Laryea and Kwesi Brobbey have safely arrived in Algeria ahead of the start of the 2023 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN tournament).

The two are the only referees selected by CAF for this year’s CHAN tournament being staged in the North African country.

With the tournament set to commence in Algeria on Friday, January 13, Daniel Laryea and Kwesi Brobbey have reported themselves.

Top referee Daniel Laryea is one of 18 centre referees selected for the tournament.

Meanwhile, Kwesi Brobbey has been included in the list of assistant referees to work at the CHAN 2023 tournament.

The Black Galaxies of Ghana will be one of the countries competing in this year’s tournament.

Ghana has been drawn into Group C and will face off with the likes of Madagascar, Sudan, and Morocco.

The Black Galaxies will play their first match against Madagascar on Sunday, January 15.
