Chelsea and Leicester City are in a standoff over a fee for Danny Drinkwater.

The Daily Mail says they are £10 million apart over the signing of Drinkwater.

The Premier League champions have offered a deal worth £30 million for the England international midfielder and Leicester are pushing to get their £40m valuation.

The clubs held talks last Friday and discussions are ongoing with 27-year-old Drinkwater keen to move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea remain keen to add four new players before the end of the month.
