Christopher Antwi-Adjei to face teammate Takuma Asano in Kirin Cup

Takuma Asano and Christopher Antwi-Adjei would meet as part of the Kirin Cup, the game against Ghana is planned for June 10 in Kobe.

The Japanese national team will warm up for the annual event by playing international matches against Paraguay on June 2nd, in Sapporo and Brazil on June 6th, Tokyo.

Ghana, on the other hand, still has two African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Central African Republic remaining. Antwi-Adjei received a call up from Black Stars coach Otto Addo

The winners of Japan/Ghana will face the winners of Tunisia vs Chile in the final, while the losers will compete for third place. Both games will take place on June 14 in Osaka.

Antwi-Adjei made his debut for Ghana national team on 18 November 2019 in an AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.
