CK Akonnor ready to drag GFA to FIFA over failure to settle remuneration after his sacking

Ghanaian tactician, Charles Kwabla Akonnor is getting ready to drag the Ghana Football Association (GFA) before the world football governing body, FIFA, over the failure to settle him what he is due after his sacking.

The former Ashanti Gold SC gaffer was sacked last year when the Ghana FA realised that qualification for the Black Stars to the 2022 FIFA World Cup was seemingly becoming impossible.

Subsequently, an agreement was reached for CK Akonnor to be settled with eight months’ salary.

Unfortunately, the Ghana FA has not honoured that agreement. With Coach CK Akonnor now frustrated and unhappy, he is in talks with his lawyers to take the next line of action.

According to information gathered, the ex-Black Stars player has decided to take the country’s football association to FIFA for them to be compelled to pay him his unpaid remuneration.

A letter is expected to be sent to FIFA by the end of this month should the GFA fail to do what is right.
