Clubs are suffering because supporters don’t want to pay to watch matches – Alhaji Grusah

Owner of Ghana Premier League side King Faisal, Alhaji Grusah has noted that clubs in the country are suffering financially because supporters do not want to pay for tickets when going to the stadia.

While gate proceeds are to serve as the primary income for clubs, the situation is very hard in the country with only Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko known to be benefiting from that avenue.

In the midst of the financial difficulties presented by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis, Alhaji Grusah has spoken out to note that supporter’s bad behavior towards paying for tickets at gates is why clubs are suffering.

“The downfall of our clubs is been caused by the supporters. They don't want to pay money before going into the stadium, always free and it reduced our income”, the veteran football administrator bemoaned.

Alhaji added, “I don't get nothing from King Faisal now, only Hearts and Kotoko gate proceeds that we used to pay our debt”.
