Stand-in Asante Kotoko coach Johnson Smith is looking to improve his side's performance after beating Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 in a club friendly.

Emmanuel Gyamfi and Songne Yacouba both scored as the Porcupine Warriors recorded a comfortable victory at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast.

Speaking after the game, coach Smith says his outfit need to improve their performances in their subsequent matches as he fine tune his squad for the upcoming 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

"We played and possessed very well but didn’t utilise the spaces we created in the opponent," he said.

"We should have played more direct defence-splitting passes for the strikers to feed on. We will correct that against Sky FC on Sunday."

Asante Kotoko will play Division One League side Skyy FC in a friendly on Sunday.
