Coach Laryea Kingston explains why Black Starlets are scoring more goals but conceding as well

Assistant Head Coach of the Black Starlets of Ghana, Laryea Kingston has reacted to criticism about the team’s porous defense.

While the deputy coach of the Ghana U17 team says he accepts the criticism and concerns of Ghanaians, he has promised that there is no cause for worry.

According to him, the Black Starlets have been built in a way that although they will concede, they will score more to win matches.

“Whatever you do you will have critiques and I accept it 110%. One thing we should know is our style of play. We are an attacking team. We played 8 matches, we scored 31 goals. The least we scored is three goals.

“People always say Ghana is a one-goal project team, now we’re scoring goals, and definitely opponents will also have the opportunity to score. At the end of the day, we will make sure we come out with a win and always be ahead of the opponent,” Laryea Kingston said.

The Ghana U17 team starred at the Uefa Development tournament last month. At the tournament, the Starlets beat Spain, Serbia, and Switzerland.
