The head coach for Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu has stressed that he is keen in improving his players ahead of the team’s participation in the CAF Champions League.

Emerging as Champions of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season, the Phobians are now set to represent the West African country in the elite inter-club competition next season.

Amid calls for Hearts of Oak to splash cash to bring in big name players, Coach Samuel Boadu says he has the belief in his current players and will improve them for the Africa campaign.

“I can transform my players to become top class players in Africa because Hearts has equally good players,” the coach told Light FM in an interview.

He added, “I wanted to prove myself when I was coming to Hearts, I don't sleep. I used to wake up 2am and think about how I will make some Hearts players better than before.”

Next weekend, Hearts of Oak will wrap up the Ghana Premier League campaign in a final match against WAFA SC.
