COACH STROPPA ON THE EVE OF THE MATCH AGAINST ROMA

Published on: 30 August 2022

Ahead of the challenge against Roma, Monza coach Giovanni Stroppa spoke in the press conference:

"There is limited time to work, but a couple of guys are recovered. We must not concede banal errors, then we know the strength of the team we face. Roma's strength is the collective, the game, the individuality, the leg they have on the pitch. Like all great teams, in addition to technical ability they have individual skills in their choices that are extraordinary. This match can give us the chance to move up the league table. In my opinion we deserved more against Udinese. As for the match, it will be a very difficult one, they are also used to playing two matches a week, I don't know if there will be any changes, but whoever will play will be competitive. We worked on defensive free kicks, they are the strongest team on free kicks and we worked a lot. Until today we were watching Mourinho on television, he did an extraordinary job in the Italian league and only someone like him could give balance on and off the pitch to bring results to Roma."
