The owner of Elmina Sharks, Paa Kwesi Nduom has called on fans of the club to troop to the stadium to back the team to beat Legon Cities FC this weekend in the Ghana Premier League.

Having failed to impress in key parts of the 2020/2021 football season, the team in the Central Region now risk suffering relegation to the National Division One League.

Looking to win the last two matches of the season to survive the drop, Paa Kwesi Nduom says the support of fans will be key.

Ahead of the match against Legon Cities FC, the bankroller has urged Elmina Sharks fans to cheer on the team to victory.

“What I want to tell the supporters is that, especially in the game against Legon Cities FC, anybody that can go to the stadium should go and support the team.

“I’m not saying people should go and harass referee or throw stones but they should go and support the team so that the away team will be defeated,” Paa Kwesi Nduom told Ahomka FM in an interview.

The match between Elmina Sharks and Legon Cities FC will be played at the Nduom Stadium on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
