Lethal striker Yahaya Mohammed says Aduana Stars must be declared champions of the Premier League if the Ghana Football Association (GFA) cannot see to the continuation of the season.
The fate of the 2019/2020 football season is yet to be decided by the country's football governing body with reports suggesting that a crucial zoom meeting is taking place between the Executive Council of the GFA later this evening.
Even before a final decision is taking, Yahaya Mohammed has stressed on the two options the GFA must look at. According to the veteran, the current season should be continued or Aduana Stars should be declared as the champions.
"I would suggest that the GFA takes the decision to continue the league. However, if the GFA decides to cancel the league, the trophy must be given to Aduana Stars since we are on top of the league log", told on Angel Fm 102.9.
The Ghana Premier League season has been on hold for the past 3 months due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis. The GFA will come out with its decision on the fate of the season at the end of June.
