Covid-19: Hearts bankroller Togbe Afede XIV donates cash, hand sanitizers to two hospitals in the Volta Region

The board chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has donated Gh¢100,000 plus 2,200 hand sanitizers to two hospitals in the Volta Region to make them equipped to fight the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The two hospitals that are benefiting from the gesture include the Ho Teaching Hospital and the Ho Municipal Hospital.

The Ho Teaching Hospital received GH¢60,000 while the Ho Municipal Hospital also received GH¢40,000.

The two facilities are benefiting from the 22,000 hand sanitizers and will also share some to the people of the Asogli State.

Togbe Afede XIV who is the Agbogbomefia of Asogli State and also the President of the National House of Chiefs after making the donation charged the traditional authorities to champion cleanliness and urge members of their communities to follow all the preventive measures outlined by the government in line with the World Health Organization (WHO).

Chief Executive for the Ho Teaching Hospital, Dr. John Tampouri commended the effort of Togbe Afede XIV for his kind gesture.

On his part, the Medical Superintendent for the Ho Municipal Hospital, Dr. Lawrence Kumi expressed his appreciation and indicated that it will go a long way to keep health workers safe as well as the people in the community.
