Crystal Palace to battle Nottingham Forest for English-born Ghanaian Callum Hudson-Odoi

Crystal Palace are expected to battle fellow Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest for the services of English-born Ghanaian Callum Hudson-Odoi, Footballghana.com can report.

The 22-year-old has emerged as a transfer target for several clubs as they seek to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

According to various report, Crystal Palace is the latest club to join the pursuit for the Chelsea owned winger.

Hudson-Odoi spent the 2022/23 season on loan at German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen but failed to excel.

The winger made 21 appearances across all competitions, scoring just one and providing one assist during his loan spell with the club.

The English-born Ghanaian doesn’t seem to be in the plan of new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino and could depart Stamford Bridge this summer.

Nottingham boss Steve Cooper is keen on landing the left-winger, having coached during his time as the England U17 coach but faces a stern competition from the Eagles who also wants to bolster their squad for the new season.

The 2012 Champions League winners are expected to make around £10 million from the sale of the Ghanaian attacker.

Hudson-Odoi remains eligible to represent Ghana internationally despite playing for England at the youth level from U16 to U21 and also making three appearances at the senior level.
