Daniel Amartey's departure from Leicester this summer looking imminent

Ghanaian international Daniel Amartey looks certain to part ways with Leicester City this summer with his management bent on ensuring he gets to enjoy regular playing time next season.

The midfielder has been with the Foxes since 2016 when he joined from Danish side FC Copenhagen on the back of a very remarkable season.

Following a foot injury he sustained in the latter part of the 2018/2019 season, he was forced to sit out at the start of the 2019/2020 season.

Though he managed to fully recover, the presence of a new manager in the person of Brendan Rogers has seen him sit on the sidelines even though he has featured in a couple of matches with the reserve team.

With things looking unlikely to change for Daniel Amartey at Leicester City, his manager Yusif Chibsah has confirmed that he will leave the club in the summer transfer window.

"We are looking at new opportunities for Amartey”, the manager of the player said in an interview with Starr FM.

Checks have revealed that a couple of clubs have already expressed interest in signing the player and negotiations will commence in the coming months.
