Ghana defender, Jonathan Mensah has showered praise on his Black Stars teammates that fought to secure double wins against Zimbabwe in the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Columbus Crew captain earned an invitation for the October International break and was featured in both matches against the Brave Warriors.
In what was a doubleheader in Group G, Ghana secured 3-1 and 1-0 wins from the home and away matches respectively.
Taking to his Twitter page to comment on the victories, Jonathan Mensah has applauded the collective effort of all the players called for the two matches.
“Embrace the grind. Two games, two wins. 6 points in the bank, a lot of work still to be done but the team performance over the two games was great,” Mensah posted on Twitter.
Next month when Ghana resumes the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Jonathan Mensah will be hoping to be in form to merit another call-up.
Embrace the grind. Two games, two wins.
