Experienced defender, Vincent Atinga left Medeama SC following the expiration of his contract.

Atinga has left the Yellow and Mauve after failing to reach a contract extension with the club.

According to reports, The former Hearts of Oak defender wanted only a season’s contract but his wish could not be met by the bosses of the club.

His exit from the club makes him a free agent after his contract with Medeama comes to an end today, September 11, 2023.

Atinga joined Medeama SC on a three-year deal after leaving KF Tirana in Albania and Kuwaiti clubs Qadsia SC and Al Shabab.

During his stay at the club, Atinga netted 21 goals in 74 matches for the club.

He played a crucial role during the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season where Medeama SC clinched the league title.

Vincent Atinga was recognized with the prestigious 2022-23 Ghana Premier League Player of the Season accolade for his exceptional contributions last Saturday at an awards ceremony organised by the Ghana Football Association.
