American-born Ghanaian defender Devon Amoo-Mensah provided an assist in Detroit City FC's 3-1 defeat to Minnesota Utd in the USL Championship.

Early on in the game, Detroit City FC would take the lead thanks to some exquisite combination play between attacker Yazeed Matthews and center defender Devon Amoo-Mensah, who found himself heading forward into Minnesota's attacking third.

Matthews would swerve between two of Minnesota's defenders and receive the ball back to his feet after passing the ball to Amoo-Mensah. Le Rouge took the lead in the fifth minute when Matthews took a deft touch before attempting a shot that would explode off the far post and back across and over the line.

Le Rouge had an opportunity to double their advantage after some fantastic build-up play between their two strikers, which culminated in Ben Morris forcing a fine stop out of Minnesota United's goalie.

After leveling the game at 1-1 in the 60th minute, the visitors maintained the pressure on. Taking the lead three minutes later in the 63rd, they added their third and final goal two minutes later in the 65th.
