Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Yusif Chibbsah has implored the Board Chairman of the club, Dr. Kwame Kyei to do anything in his power to ensure Prosper Narteh Ogum stays as the head coach of the club.

Having led the side to win the 2021/22 Premier League, Dr. Ogum has communicated his decision to leave the side after less than 10 months in charge.

The 44-year-old is yet to make his resignation official to the club but Chibbsah, who is a former Ghana international believes Dr. Ogum must be at the club.

The former midfielder has pleaded with the Board Chairman to ensure every impasse between the coach and the management.

“Obviously, the timing of the conflict is not the best," he told Graphic Sports.

"It is wrong and unfortunate that this incident happened at a crucial time that the team should have bonded together as they prepare for Africa.

“With this, I expect the board to mediate and do everything possible to resolve the conflict amicably," he added.

Dr. Ogum joined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year deal from WAFA before the start of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League.
