Dreams FC has set its sights on securing the services of Asante Kotoko midfielder Rashid Nortey in a permanent transfer deal, according to recent reports.

The FA Cup holders have initiated negotiations with the seasoned midfielder in their quest to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.

Nortey, who joined Kotoko in August last year following his departure from Medeama SC, has faced setbacks during his time with the Porcupine Warriors due to a series of injuries.

Despite his potential, the 28-year-old attacking midfielder made just seven appearances for Kotoko in the latter part of the previous season, finding the net once before being sidelined for several months due to injury.

Unfortunately, Nortey has yet to feature in any matches since the commencement of the 2023-24 campaign.

Dreams FC is optimistic about securing Nortey's signature ahead of the 2024-25 season as they aim to mount a serious challenge for the Ghana Premier League title.

The 'Still Believe' outfit has been enjoying success in the CAF Confederation Cup and is on the verge of reaching the semi-finals. Their recent triumph over Stade Malien de Bamako with a 2-1 victory in the first leg of their quarter-final tie demonstrates their potential in continental competitions.
