Dreams FC General Manger Ameenu Shadow has eulogized the Ghana Football Association for supporting their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

The Still Believe lads are making waves in their maiden participation after defying all odds to reach the semifinals of the competition.

The Ghana FA Cup holders are one step away from the final after securing an important goalless draw against Zamalek last Sunday.

After holding the 2019 champions to a 0-0 draw in the first leg at the Cairo International Stadium, Dreams FC are gearing up for a crucial encounter against the experienced Egyptian side.

Speaking to Happy FM monitored by Footballghana.com, Shadow, who doubles as Black Stars team manager showered praise on the Ghana FA for supporting their African campaign.

“I will use this opportunity to thank the Ghana Football Association for their support. Truth be told, the FA has been very supportive. At the end of the campaign, we will hold a conference to give details of support we received particularly from the FA” he said.

The match holds immense significance for Dreams FC, as they aim to become the first Ghanaian side in two decades to reach the final of the Confederation Cup. The last time a Ghanaian team achieved this feat was in 2004 when Hearts of Oak and Kotoko faced off in the final, with Hearts emerging victorious.

Meanwhile, Zamalek are expected to fly directly to Kumasi on Thursday to continue preparation for the much-anticipated clash this weekend. The Egyptian giants will land in Kumasi at 5pm today.

The Egyptian outfit will train at the match venue 24 hours before kickoff as mandated by the competition's rule and regulations.
