Dutch international of Ghanaian descent Jeremie Frimpong laments Leverkusen’s painful stalemate against Dortmund

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong has lamented Bayer Leverkusen’s stalemate against Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga.

Frimpong was in action on Sunday when his side played out a 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund at the Bay Arena.

The visitor took an early lead through Julian Ryerson who found the back of the net after just five minutes into the clash before Nigeria international Victor Okoh Boniface draw Leverkusen level in the second half.

After the game, the enterprising defender expressed his disappointment following his outfit stalemate against Dortmund.

“It’s painful, I think we deserve to win but it footballs so we will focus on our DFB Pokal game against Paderborn on Wednesday”

“We deserve to win but today, it was really painful. Of course, in football you cannot win every game” he told Joy Sports.

Leverkusen have been impressive this season and are currently on the summit of the Bundesliga League table with 35 points after 13 games.

The 22-year-old has been in blistering form in the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen, contributing 13 goals across all competitions for the German outfit.
