Ebenezer Ofori earns praises from U .S Coach Bruce Arena

Ghana midfielder Ebenezer Ofori has earned the praises of United States boss Bruce Arena after another spectacular performance for the Black Stars in the International friendly played on Saturday.

The Black Stars lost to the Yankees by 2 goals to one in a pulsating encounter. Dom Dwyer opener the scoring for the Americans following a defensive mix up by the Black in the 19th minute before Kelly Acosta made it two six minutes after the break.

Captain Asamoah Gyan missed a penalty before curling in a beautiful freekick to pull one back for the Ghanaians.

Meanwhile, one player who drew a lot of applause on the day and also caught the eye of the Yankees coach was Stuggart midfielder Ebenezer Ofori.

''I think the guy who was wearing the number 8 jersey was very good. He gave us a lot of headaches and was very impressive throughout the game,'' Arena said in a post-match interview.

Ebenezer Ofori was having his fifth appearance for the Black Stars after making his debut at the Africa Cup of Nations against Burkina.

He has one goal to his name in the national team when he scored a cracker against Morocco.
