South American outfit, Ecuador is set to play two big friendly matches against some giants from the African continent in June.

The national team of the South American country is already finalising a preparation plan for the 2022 FIFA World Cup that is scheduled to be staged in Qatar.

Having been placed in a group that features African champions Senegal, the football association heads in Ecuador have decided that it will be good to play friendlies against sides from Africa.

As a result, talks have been completed for Ecuador to take on Nigeria and Mali in the coming months.

At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ecuador has been pitted in Group A where the South American side will face the likes of Qatar, the Netherlands, as well as Senegal.

The tricky group is reportedly giving handlers of the Ecuador national team a headache.

This year the world cup will be played between November and December.
