Egypt goalkeeper Gabaski has disclosed what Mohamed Salah him before Sadio Mane missed his 7th minute penalty in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.

While getting ready to take the penalty, Salah went over to Gabaski to give him some advice.

Mane saw his penalty saved by the Egyptian shot-stopper but the Liverpool forward held his nerve when he returned in the shootout.

"Salah told me: ‘Mane would shoot to the right side, he is coming now because he knows what I am saying," Gabaski said.

“Mane said to me: ‘I will shoot on the left,’ then Salah replied: 'Let's see’."

Salah and Mane will report back Liverpool in the coming days as they look to get back to club football.

Salah has already expressed his desire to play for Liverpool against Leicester City on Thursday, while Mane is likely to miss the game due to his celebrations with Senegal in his home country.
