Defender Empem Dacosta has officially severed ties with Asante Kotoko, his manager Kweku Blessing has disclosed.

The defender joined the Porcupine Warriors club in 2019 but could not earn a place in the team of head coach Maxwell Konadu.

As already reported, the experienced gaffer has told Empem Dacosta that he is not part of his plans in the upcoming football season.

Following talks between the Chief Executive Officer of Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah, and the player’s manager today, both parties have agreed to end their union.

“I am saying it through this medium that, Empem Dacosta is no more an Asante Kotoko player. We've solved everything this afternoon when we met Kotoko at the club's secretariat. We appreciate what the club has done for us”, Kweku Blessing told Pure FM in an interview today.

According to him, Empem Dacosta has offers from clubs in the Ghana Premier League and will soon decide which one to join if no agreement is reached with a foreign club.
