England U21 Boss Gives Glowing Review of Aston Villa Midfielder Jack Grealish

England Under-21 caretaker manager Aidy Boothroyd has been delighted with the attitude shown by Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish, who now appears to be keen on letting his football do the talking after more 'party boy' antics hit the headlines only last month.

Grealish was named Man of the Match after England's 5-0 Euro 2017 qualifying win over Bosnia & Herzegovina on Tuesday night and Boothroyd couldn't be happier with the player's contribution.

"He's been brilliant, he's a terrific guy and we've had no problems whatsoever," the coach currently standing in for Gareth Southgate told the FA's official website.

"He comes in, trains and the past is the past. It's about dealing with the present and focusing on the future. He is training hard, working well and we move on.

"All clubs got through their ups and downs and it is not what happens from them but how they respond to it and that is the same with players when they have setbacks.

"It is important that they get back on the horse and don't wallow in it. He doesn't wallow too long in anything. He is upbeat, has plenty to say for himself, has a lovely personality and he is playing for his country and he has to make sure he stays in this group."

Grealish was recently fined by Villa for his involvement in an all-night party at a Birmingham hotel to which the police were eventually called. He has been at the centre of various other stories of similar nature over the last 18 months and was evenbriefly banished from the first-team by formermanager Remi Garde for his off-field behaviour.

The local player has featured in nine of Villa's 11 Championship games so far this season, starting eight of them, but he hasn't been able to prevent an alarming slide down the table after only one league win all season.
