Former Asante Kotoko captain Felix Annan has extended his contract with English lower-tier side Carlton Town FC, the club has announced.

The former Black Stars goalkeeper joined the Nottingham-based club in July 2023 on short term deal to compete in the Northern Premier League Division East after departing Pass Move Grin FC.

After impressing in his first stint, the club has decided to extend his stay ahead of the 2024/25 season.

"FELIX STAYS. We can confirm Felix Annan is the first to commit to re-signing with the Millers for next season" the club wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Annan began his football career with Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord Academy before he signed for Asante Kotoko.

During his time at Kotoko, he gained valuable experience through loan spells with Real Tamale United in 2014 and later with the West African Football Academy in 2015.

On June 9, 2019, Annan made his debut for the Black Stars, in a friendly match against Namibia, which ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat.

He was also part of the Black Stars squad that represented Ghana at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Egypt.
