England-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Jordi Osei-Tutu will commence training after recovering from his injury on Monday, November 29, 2021, footballghana.com can report.

The versatile defender joined English Championship outfit, Nottingham Forest, in the summer on loan from Premier League side Arsenal.

Unfortunately, he suffered a hamstring injury in August and had to spend months on the sidelines.

After completing his rehabilitation at his parent club as part of the process to return from injury, he has made enormous progress and is now cleared to start training.

According to Forest manager Steve Cooper, Jordi Osei-Tutu will finally join his teammates for training on Monday.

“He will commence his training with us. I’m looking forward to meeting him properly, and hopefully getting the right programme for him to feature soon. He’s done his rehab, so he’ll be training with us.

“We’ll have to be careful. There will be some sort of transition period, in terms of communication with Arsenal – and rightly so, we want that as well, to make sure it’s right for the player. But he will be back in training,” Steve Cooper revealed at a press conference.

The return of Jordi Osei-Tutu is expected to provide a major squad boost for Nottingham Forest.
