French-born footballer of Ghanaian descent Enock Kwarteng has opened up on Bordeaux victory over Lens in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.
The homes side, Bordeaux inflicted a 3-0 win over Lens on Sunday.
Going into recess with a 1-0 lead, Kwarteng insisted that goal was a liberation for the side and entreated the side not to give up in the second half.
“A release yes, we scored that goal, it was important for us. We managed to have the advantage, now we must not give up and not take goals in the second half” he said.
Bordeaux are 14th on the league log with 42 points after 37 matches.
Kwarteng has made 17 appearances in all competition this season.
