Eritrea referee Henok Tesfamikael to officiate FC Samartex vs Victoria Utd clash on Sunday

Referee Henok Tesfamikael Zerom from Eritrea has been appointed centre referee for the upcoming clash between FC Samartex and Victoria United FC.

The Ghanaian champions will take on the team from Cameroon on Sunday, August 25, in the second leg meeting of the first-round tie of the playoff to the CAF Champions League group stage.

Ahead of the game, the Ghana FA has indicated that Eritrea referee Henok Tesfamikael will handle the match alongside other compatriots.

“Henok Tesfamikael Zerom from Eritrea will be the referee for Sunday’s CAF Champions League preliminary round 2nd leg game between Ghanaian Champions FC Samartex 1996 and Victoria United from Cameroon.

“Zerom, 34, will be assisted by compatriots Sirak Samuel Menghis (Assistant I), Adel Salih Hamid (Assistant II) and Musie Beyene Tewelde (Fourth Official), while Sinko Zeli from Cote D’Ivoire serves as Match Commissioner,” the Ghana FA said in a notice on Wednesday.

The upcoming game between FC Samartex and Victoria United will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The match will kick off at 15:00gmt.
