Europa League Round-Up: Southampton Lose in Prague as 10-Man Inter Crash Out

It's been quite a week of European action, with the Europa League kicking off after two days of Champions League group stage matches.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva 3-2 Inter Milan: Hapoel staged an amazing comeback to keep the Italian side rooted to the bottom of Group K, and to plunge them out of the competition.Mauro Icardi scored early in the first half beforeMarcelo Brozovic doubled the lead before the end of the period.


But two second half goals fromLúcio Maranhão andAnthony Nwakaeme, along with an injury time penalty scored byBen Sahar, decided the outcome.

Sparta Prague 1-0 Southampton: An 11th minute strike fromCosta Nhamoinesu made the difference in this one as Southampton were overtaken by Hapoel, who now have 10 points and are second in Group K.


Saints face a home tie with Hapoel, who they're now level on seven points with in the group, in their final group game. The winner will qualify for the next round.
