Europe's Golden Boy Renato Sanches Achieves Further Recognition With New FIFA Card

It has been a breathtaking year for Portuguese starlet Renato Sanches, which was capped off in style this week when he was received Europe's Golden Boy award.And it has seemingly got better for the burgeoning talent.


After beating Manchester United prodigy Marcus Rashford and Bayern teammate Kingsley Coman to the title, the Bayern Munich superstar has been rewarded in virtual reality too, with EA Sports revealing a new special card on the mobile edition of FIFA for the 19-year-old.

The new card unsurprisingly has a golden ball on it, while his strength rankings have been upgraded by two points.


It is unknown whether Sanches' recent success will be recognised on the console version of the game, but many fans are expecting his stats to shoot up when the player of the weekcards are released on FIFA 17 later this week.

The likes of Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero have won the prestigiousGolden Boy award since its inception in 2003, with Anthony Martial the latest winner of theaward before Sanches this week.


The former Benfica starlet has made eight appearances for Carlo Ancelotti this season after securing his £27.5m move to the Allianz Arena on the back of his Euro 2016 success with Portugal.
