Everton captain Phil Jagielka: We\'re struggling to find a way to win

Everton captain Phil Jagielka admitted frustration after defeat at Leicester City.

Jamie Vardy and Demarai Gray struck for the hosts and sealed a 2-0 victory over the struggling Toffees.

“It is very disappointing," said Everton captain Jagielka. “You cannot come here and give them one goal, never mind two.

"We needed to put in a performance and in the first half we did not do that. We gave them too much time and they scored two goals.

“They were always going to play on the counter attack with the pace they have up top… so to come here and get done in that way... and then concede the second goal, it was always going to be difficult to get back in the game.

“We threw everything we could at Leicester but could not get the ball in the back of the net. We were okay in midweek and put Chelsea under pressure but came back with nothing to show for our effort.

“It is getting frustrating at the moment. We need to find a way to win, to keep clean sheets and score. It sounds simple but it is proving quite difficult.

“We need to get some points and start climbing the league. We have to roll up our sleeves and find a method to keep clean sheets and score a winning goal."
