Everton must go higher to land Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The Mirror says Everton have had a £30million bid rejected for Swansea's Icelandic midfielder Sigurdsson.

That is unlikely to put off Everton manager Ronald Koeman, who has already splashed out on Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen.

Everton will, however, announce the £5.2m signing of Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez straight after the European Under-21 Championship – which is good news for Swansea.
