Ex-Premier League strikerMickey Quinn has called out the Liverpool team and in particular Adam Lallana fortheir poor display againstLeicester City on Monday night, just days after the player signed a lucrativenew deal at the club.

The Reds came up way short against a team that were supposedly there for the taking after dumping Claudio Ranieri last week.

The Foxes showed excellent work rate, passion and team spirit - three things Liverpool were completely devoid of in one of their most disappointing performances of the season to date.

It led formerNewcastle striker and Liverpool fanQuinnto blastthe display. He said to talkSPORT via the Star: "They probably wallowed in the praise from the Spurs game.

"They went to La Manga, had a jolly up there and a bit of team-bonding. They've come back like they've never played with each other all season.

"Lallana with his extension weighing him down on the pitch, his contract extension and new wage. It was only really Coutinho who was trying anything.

(Sadio) Mane I think that tackle rattled him in the first two minutes, he didn't seem the same player. (Emre) Can is a squad player for me.

28-year-old Lallana's new deal saw him add three more years onto his Anfield stay and he now reportedly takes home £110,000-a-week.

Quinn watched as the manager-less Leicester condemned his team to yet another defeat, taking their total losses in 2017 to six from 12 games.

Theresult meant Liverpool remain a pointbehind fourth-placed Arsenal, whom they face on Saturday, but have now played one game more meaning that with the right result, the Gunners could put some breathing space between the two clubs.
