Ex-President Kufour calls for peace in Kotoko-Hearts game

Former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufour has called for calm ahead of the week 23 outstanding league clash between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts Oak on Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.

The former first gentleman of Ghana says the game should unite both teams rather than bringing separation.

“We should take away things that will bring chaos and anarchy to the entire nation. I am a fabulous because I have been a chairman for the club before and I know what goes into games between the two teams when they meet,” Kufour stated.

“It is football not war, let us ignore all issues which will affect the game and also avoid things which will bring troubles,”

Games between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak have often resulted to violence among fans.
