Portuguese side Vitória Sport Clube have completed the signing of Ghanaian defender Simon Zibo from Liberty Professionals on the transfer deadline day, Footballghana.com can confirm.
Zibo, 21, penned a two-year deal with Vitória SC with an option of a year renewal after passing his medical and completing the formalities.
The club's official statement reads, ''Vitória Sport Clube, Futebol SAD reports that it has reached an agreement with the athlete Simon Zibo. "
"The 21-year-old Ghanaian defender has signed a contract valid until 2021, with another season of choice, and will be a reinforcement of the Victorian team B."
He was heavily linked to several clubs in Ghana including Hearts of Oak, Aduana Stars, and Asante Kotoko, however, he has opted to move to Portugal to continue his playing career.
The highly-rated youngster is currently a key contributor to the Ghana U-23 team as they prepare to face Algeria in the CAF U-23 qualifier in Accra.
