Fatau Dauda likens Sogne Yacouba to Eric Bekoe; implores Kotoko to keep striker for Africa campaign

Experience Legon Cities FC goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has charge Asante Kotoko to keep hold of poster boy Sogne Yacouba as he likes him to ex-striker Eric Bekoe.

Dauda was in post for the Royal club last Friday when they hosted the Porcupine Warriors at the Accra Sports Stadium. In a match that Yacouba started for the Reds, he looked sharp and caused all sorts of problems for the backline of the home team.

The Burkinabe import came close to finding the back of the net on a couple of occasions but was denied by Fatau Dauda who remained alert.

Commenting on the performance of Sogne Yacouba, the Legon Cities FC captain says Asante Kotoko must keep his at the club if they want to play in any of CAF’s inter-club competitions.

“He [Sogne Yacouba] is a clever player. He is like Bekoe. Bekoe can turn, shoot from the left, shoot from the right. Yacouba is like that and he has power. Whenever he has the ball I need to be on my guard”, Fatau Dauda said.

He added, “He is a good player and he has the skill so I think he can help the team. If they want to go to Africa again then they should keep that boy so that they can go forward”.
