Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, George Amoako has revealed that club captain Felix Annan will sign a two-year contract extension by the close of this week.

The assurance comes on the back of recent backlash from fans of the team following media reports that indicated that the goalkeeper was on the brink of walking out of the team on a free transfer.

Annan has only three weeks left on his contract and will become a free agent by the end of December.

In an interview with Fox FM, George Amoako has shared that contract talks between the club and the player is far advanced.

He explains that Felix Annan has agreed to extend his stay for two years and the deal will be completed once all monetary issues are agreed.

“Talks are far advanced with Felix Annan to extend his contract, he wanted to sign for one year and we (Kotoko) proposed two years, he has agreed, what is left is monetary issues, offer and acceptance, everything is in place and by the end of this week he will sign the contract”, the Kotoko CEO said.

Felix Annan joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2011 and has gradually become an integral part of the team. He continues to be key for Kotoko and has even risen to become a member of the Black Stars team.
