FIFA orders Saudi Club Al Ittihad to pay Sulley Muntari US$5million

Football’s world governing body FIFA has ordered Saudi Club, Al Ittihad Jeddah to pay former AC Milan star Sulley Muntari an amount SAR 20 million (US$5,333,049) owed the player.

Muntari, 33, lugged the Saudi Pro League giants to the Federations of International Football after the Club had failed to pay his wages and bonuses during his time at the Club.

According to checks made by footballghana.com, the club has not paid the player since joining the club and upon his resignation, they could not settle him.

Hence, the reason he sent them to FIFA for redress.

Ittihad Jeddah have only 14 working days to pay the said amount to the midfielder who is currently unattached.

The 33-year-old left Italian Club Pescara at the end of the 2016/17 season.

The former Portsmouth man would be seeking to land himself a Club in the January transfer window.
