FIFA slaps over $1000 fine on former Esperance striker Emmanuel Clottey over Kotoko move

Football's biggest body, FIFA have slapped a $1,034.34 fine on Great Olympics striker Emmanuel Clottey for moving to Kotoko in 2015 whilst he was still under contract with Esperance.

FIFA arrived at the decision on Friday to deliver extra punishment to the player and Kotoko for the delay in sorting out the issue.

Clottey has been given a deadline of 17th May to pay the fine.

The statement read as follows:

"Debtor I (Emmanuel Clottey) is ordered to pay a fine of CHF 1,000. The fine is to be paid within 30 days of notification of the present decision."

Clottey is currently self isolating due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
