Focus more on football and what coaches tell you - Michael Ofosu Appiah to Ghanaian players

In a passionate plea to Ghanaian players, former Asante Kotoko defender Michael Ofosu Appiah (CID) urges them to shift their focus squarely onto the game of football and attentively heed the guidance of their coaches.

Drawing from his own experience on the field and beyond, Appiah emphasizes the pivotal role of discipline and receptivity in elevating their skills and careers.

"They should put it in their mind that there is a lot of responsibility on them so they should stop the life. What I see now is that Ghana footballers the players like life more than the work they are suppose to do. They should learn after that if they want to enjoy life they can do that," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"But now the life is first before they learn so every day their minds what will pick first is what they follow so they let their minds be on the football first before the life. You will see the life the cut he will do and the piercings he doesn't have time to learn a coach will be teaching them then his mind will be somewhere else,"

"So I will plead with Ghana players they should put it in their mind that if you listen you will learn a lot but if you think you know you will not learn anything. They should focus on what the coach is teaching if the coach is not good like the management will not bring him to lead the team,"

"If you have noticed for the past five 5 years I have not watched the Ghana Premier League they can't play 10 passes then the ball goes to throw. 10 passes to 10 their attempt will be 6 or 7 then it goes to throw,"
