Former Ghana coach CK Akonnor open to Asante Kotoko return

Former Ghana coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor has expressed his readiness to return to Asante Kotoko after the exit of Prosper Narteh Ogum.

The Ghana Premier League winning coach is not likely to lead the Porcupine Warriors in the upcoming season after hinting about his resignation in a meeting with the club’s board of directors weeks ago.

However, the former Black Stars captain who guided Kotoko to the money zone in his first stint is not ruling out a return to the club.

“For me returning to Kotoko will be on a different level. Kotoko was full of joy and though I went through a lot of pressure, it was a positive one,” he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

CK Akonnor left Kotoko after refusing to accept technical director role at the club.

He guided Kotoko to win the Tier one of the Ghana FA Normalization Committee special competition.
