Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Stanley Afedzie remains confident in clubs' resurgence despite slow start

Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Stanley Afedzie is confident about the clubs’ chances despite slow start to the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Phobians have been in dismal form, managing only five points in the five games they have played so far.

Following a challenging start to the season, the Phobians find themselves in the relegation zone.

But Afedzie is defiant of a season turn around for the Ghanaian giants.

“Of course, I’m surprised with the performance of the team so far. Having had a good preseason, I expected them to have a great start to the Ghana Premier League season but that hasn’t been the case”

“I know things aren’t going well with the team but I believe things will change as the season unfolds. I will urge the players to improve their performance. As a Hearts of Oak player, you should always play for the fans because they make the club and without them there won’t be Hearts of Oak” he said.

Hearts of Oak are away to Bibiani to face Goldstars in the week 7 clash of the Ghana Premier League.
