Former Liberty Professionals forward Elvis Kyei Baffour undergoing trials at Asante Kotoko

Former Liberty Professionals attacker Elvis Kyei Baffour has started training with Asante Kotoko as he aims to secure a move to the club.

The forward is currently without a club and has set sights on securing a move in the ongoing transfer window.

The 25-year-old started training with the Porcupine Warriors at the Adako Jachie training complex on Tuesday.

Kyei is eager to land himself a move to boyhood club Asante Kotoko but he will have to impress the technical team led by Prosper Narteh Ogum at training this week.

The forward was Liberty's top scorer in the 2019-20 Ghana Premier League season, racking up eight goals in 15 matches.

Kyei's potential signing would be a significant boost for Kotoko, adding to their attacking prowess.

Having lose top striker Steven Mukwala this window, the acquisition of the former Liberty forward will be a great addition to the Kotoko squad considering the experience and skills he possesses.

The move would also mark a return to his roots for Kyei, who began his career at Kumasi Rainbow FC before joining Liberty in the Ghanaian top-flight in 2017.

The talented winger has been unattached since leaving Slovenian side NK Rogaska. He moved to Europe after a three-year stint with Tunisian club AS Soliman.
