Galatasaray have a deal in place for Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
The Frenchman had hoped to sign permanently with Marseille after last season's successful loan, but OM could not match Gala's contract offer.
A confidant of Gomis confirmed: "Until the last moment, the entourage of the player has maintained contact with OM, without being able to find a mutually satisfactory agreement."
Gala will cough up €2.5 million to Swans for Gomis.
The centre-forward agreed personal terms with the Turkish giants earlier this month.
