George Amoako: Deflating part of cost the back bone of ticket price

Published on: 19 December 2018

General Manager for Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC George Amoako has disclosed that cost incurred in their double clash between Kariobangi Sharks of Kenya is the reason seen in the increase of ticket price.

The porcupine warriors will battle Kariobangi Sharks in Ghana at the Baba Yara sports stadium in the CAF Confederation Cup second leg.

Ghana's only representative Kotoko SC traveled to Kenya to record a goalless draw on the 15th of December. Fast forward, the team landed in Ethiopia before Kenya as part of their traveling arrangements.

According to George Amoako they want the supporters to deflate part of the cost, a reason behind the stadium ticket recorded change in price.

"Our provisional expenditure for the two games against Kariobangi Sharks is GHc 417,000"

"And we need our fans to help us deflate part of the cost and that's why we are charging GHc20 Popular, GHc50 VIP and GHc80 VVIP", George Amoako said.

The aforementioned game is slated Saturday, 22 December 2018.
